You can wear your cowboy boots with tights or leggings. This is for the daring so make sure you do it right. Try not to use ripped leggings though because it takes away the attention from the boots. Use leggings, a tunic dress with a cardigan over and you are good to go!

Although Vogue fanatics may say that cowboy boots are not so “in” right this moment, you can always wear cowboy boots because they can be classy, stylish or rugged. Women can wear their cowboy boots with jeans –this is the classy way to wearing a pair of western boots. There are 2 methods to do this, one is wearing it under your jeans and the second one is to tuck your pants in the boots to show how pretty those cowboy boots are.

For the first method, this gives you some height while still looking casual. Use wide-legged jeans for this style since cowboy boots are often wide around the leg area. Make sure that your jeans are long enough to not show off the boots since this is the main purpose of this look. If you want to look thin and look like you have long legs, you should wear this look more often.

Riding boots or what we know today as cowboy boots have been part of equestrian life for hundreds of years. Cowboy boots were made individually before the industrial age and these handmade riding boots were done in different styles and designs depending on the culture of the area. Early designs were heavily influenced by the Spanish vaquero tradition dating back to as early as the 1500s. This tradition still continues in the west and in Mexico.

The industrial revolution paved the way for the mass-production of cowboy boots. At the time it was particularly produced for the military. Cowboy boots look like Hessian boots, a European style of boots used by the cavalry. However, there is no proof of where cowboy boots were from save for the vaquero tradition from Spain and Mexico.

The very first cowboy boots that was mass-produced was the Wellington boot. It was very popular in the USA in the early 17^th century when cowboys were still underpaid but as times passed and cattle became more expensive, cowboys started investing on more portable boots that are made out of good quality leather. It is interesting to note that fashion magazines printed in the 1850s and 1860s showed cowboy boots with topstitching with underslung heel already in place. The manufacturing of cowboy boots advanced dramatically during this time thanks to the industrial revolution.

There are 2 main types of these boots, the western ones or what we usually call classic boots and roper ones. The western style boots are distinguished because of their tall boot shaft usually mid-calf or a bit higher. Most of them have angled 1-inch heels. Cowboy boots with slightly lower walking heels are also available. Although classic boots can be customized to different toe shapes, the classic cowboy boots are usually pointy-toed.

The roper style is a newer type of cowboy boots design. It has a shorter boot shaft compared to the classic design and it stops right above the ankle. The heels are squared off and are very low, and they are usually shaped to the boots’ sole. Usually, roper boots are less than an inch high, have rounded to squared toes. Roper boots are also created for riding.

Since cowboy boots are known to be solid and tough you should get a pair that does not only project that toughness but should actually be heavy duty. The next thing you should check are the stitches on the boots, they should be well made and are buried. When done with all the checking you should ask for your size. There are certain types of Western boots that are fit for certain types of feet. By getting the one you are most comfortable in, you will prevent getting injuries because of your boots. Walk your boots before making a purchase, if it doesn’t feel right do not buy it but if it feels good then make that purchase.
