Boots for Big and TaLL

Published by Cowboy under Boot City

People like me who have unusually large feet often have trouble finding boots and shoes that fit their over-sized appendages.  Lucky for me I can find all the size 14 EEE boots I can wear at my favorite online boot retailer, Boot City. Bootcity.com has big and tall boots up to size 17.

Before you order your over-sized boots I suggest you get your feet measured to make sure you know your size. (and width) Big and Tall boots from Boot City can be returned as long as you don’t wear them outside. (and they look new with no scuffs)

They also have large and wide work boots

Knee-High Cowboy Boots For Women

Published by Cowboy under Cowgirl Fashion, Popular Boots

Forget the farm. Knee-high cowboy boots for women are not just practical for workwear, they’re also flattering and hip, and they warm the legs during incredibly cold days. But if you’re a woman, all these reasons pale next to this two – knee-high boots make the legs look thin and long; and they cover leg flaws, too!

When worn with knee-length or mini-skirts, they look sophisticated and sexy. Paired with a long, flowy dress, they give your outfit a feminine and romantic allure. But there’s a catch – finding knee-high cowboy boots for women will take some work. Below are some tips to point you in the right direction.

  1. Stretch boots look great on large legs! Frustrated by how chunky your legs look? Wear stretch boots! You won’t find it easy to put on your first pair of stretch boots, but there’s a way to go about it. Scrunch down the shafts – the same way you would with your stocking – and insert your feet into the boots. Then, pull on the shafts. There! Slips like a dream, doesn’t it?
  2. Slender heels fit slender legs like a dream! Structure and bulk are both no-no’s for the chunky-legged. But on women with slender ankles, they complement the legs perfectly! Go for slouch boots and western styles. Or, to add more oomph to the day’s outfit, pick a pair with more slender heels.
  3. Tucks go with the skinny. If you’re thinking of tucking your jeans into your footwear, stick to skinny jeans. Anything that’s more wider-legged will only create a “ballooning” effect.

Knee-high cowboy boots for women are very versatile. You can wear them to work or to a night out with friends. You can go casual or formal. Or, you can wear them to add a touch of the country to your city look.

Cowboy Boots Fashion

Published by Cowboy under Cowgirl Fashion

Cowboy boots fashion never went out of style. Like all classics, your favorite sturdy but stylish footwear is only bidding it’s time before it makes a comeback – and this time it’s back, bigger and bolder than ever. Here are the top looks in cowboy boots fashion.

Under the Jeans. Wear your boots this way with wide-leg or flared jeans. These two jean types complement the look best because more tapered jeans will make them look bulky because of the boot’s wideness around the leg. The toe of your boots peeking out underneath your jeans will make your legs look incredibly long and thin!

Over the Jeans. Cowboy boots go perfectly with skinny jeans or regular straight legged denims. Wear a structured bag and a leather jacket to keep the country look city-chic.

With Florals. Want to wear a flowery dress but still keep things casual? Pair your loose, flowy floral dress with cowboy boots! The look works best for knee-length dresses. When it comes to your choice of colors, stick to the basics like brown and black. They go with most dress types, styles, and colors.

With Leggings. This is one of the best ways to rock your cowboy boots, but be sure to keep all the colors in your ensemble simple. The boots make a strong statement by themselves – pick styles and colors that complement – not compete – with your boots.

With Tights. Tights look great with boots. You can wear them with a long shirt or a cute spring dress. Or, you can jazz it up with a tunic. Whatever you choose to pair with your tights and footwear, you can be sure you’ll get compliments on your choice of outfits.

Cowboy boots fashion is like your favorite pizza, the Beatles, or that hairdresser you’ve been going to for the past five years – they’re an oldie, but a goodie.

3 Tips For Buying Children’s Cowboy Boots

Published by Cowboy under Childrens Boots

Do you have a little cowgirl or cowboy at home? Whether it’s your child or you who’s into wild West fashion, there’s no doubting children’s cowboy boots will prove to be a versatile addition to your little one’s closet. Children’s cowboy boots come in all sizes, styles, and colors. But how do you make sure the boots you take to the register fit those little feet perfectly?

Below are some tips for buying children’s cowboy boots.

1. Go boot-shopping in the afternoon! During mornings, your child’s feet will be at its smallest and thinnest while during the latter part of the day, your child’s feet will have swelled a bit from all that running and playing. If your child tries on boots in the morning, the shoes may end up too tight. If your child tries on boots in the evening, the pair may end up too lose. Do your boot-buying in the afternoon.

2. Measure, measure, measure! Ask the store for a measuring device. Take note of your child’s foot size and foot shape. Some boots have a square toe while others have a pointy toe. Make room for toe shape in your measurement.

3. Try before you buy! The best way to test a shoe’s fit is, naturally, to wear it. Let your child try on a pair. Roll up the pant leg all the way to the knees, and help your child pull on the boots. Then, ask your child to stand and wiggle his toes. If he can do some toe wiggling while he walks, and if the seams are snug while the boot legs stay a little loose, snap that pair up right off. They’re perfect for your little one.

Buying children’s cowboy boots can be quite tricky because the last thing you want to do is waste money on a pair your child can’t wear for long. But with these tips to help you along, there’s no way you can get the boot-buying wrong!

Western Lifestyle Social Network Launches September 1, 2009

Published by Laura under Social Networking

Cowboy Syndicate Network is slated to launch on September 1, 2009. Hosted by Cowboy Syndicate, a full service creative agency, the social network’s goals are to bring together western lifestyle enthusiasts.

Nothing is taboo: Anything about rodeo, equines, fashion and decor is fair game for members to talk about. The network will be free to anyone who registers at www.cowboysyndicate.org.

Cowboy Syndicate believes people from around the globe will enjoy membership benefits, in addition to Americans. The organization says that many, worldwide, enjoy the western lifestyle and demographics are not limited to North America.

So what’s in it for members? The Rodeo Ride Resource group offers riders and participants the ability to arrange rides to events. There is a Rodeo Parents’ group for parents of kids participating in rodeos — fodder for discussion are expenses and situations arising from this lifestyle. If you’re a woman business owner, the Cowgirl Syndicate group offers ways to network and promote your company. Lastly, everyone can meet and make new friends — including fans wanting to know more about their favorite rodeo athletes and business to business connections.
